The Latest

State now accepting 2025 income tax returns

DENVER, Tuesday, January 27, 2026 — Taxpayers can now file income tax returns for 2025. The Colorado Department of Revenue, Taxation Division, offers tips to simplify the process and help Coloradans receive refunds quickly. The filing deadline for tax year 2025 is April 15, 2026. An automatic six-month filing extension is available if payment obligations are satisfied by April 15.

DENVER - Tuesday, December 30, 2025 - The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is launching a major digital makeover in February 2026. The DMV is excited about the benefits this will bring to its customers. The state is upgrading its entire system, including the public e-services platform, myDMV, to offer users a simpler, faster, and more secure experience. The statewide transition will happen in February 2026.

The public entrance for DMV/Tax is located on 5th Street, between Walnut Street and Larimer Street. The public entrance for the Lottery is on Larimer Street.
